Saturday night's a time to party
To laugh and drink rock on the hearty
Boisterous in spirit and full of vigour
Celebrate the eve with wine and rigour
A time to recollect to tell a joke
To knock back a beer to have a smoke
To swagger in your party frock
To sing and dance to joke and rock
And roll along from pub to pub
And then on from club to club
To jig and boogy and yell out loud
To pick the scene, observe the crowd
To find a love, perhaps to score
To forget ones woes to toil no more
And celebrate with party cheer
With friends aplenty far and near
A time to relax hand out and play
For of all the nights it's Saturday
